In early 2003,
BusinessAlumniNetwork.com’s Founder, Joel Goldberg, was
between jobs. He was networking with former colleagues
when he was overcome by how few people managed to stay
in touch with friends and colleagues- yet wished they
had! Soon, each new phone call he placed became an
opportunity for Joel to reconnect with an old
acquaintance and expand the contacts on his newly formed
list of alumni.
As word spread, the list of alumni grew
exponentially. It wasn’t long before a flood of requests
to receive and/or be added to the list came in. Soon,
responding to requests and maintaining ever-changing
contact information began to feel like a full-time job.
That’s when Joel realized how valuable a fully
customized alumni site would be.
That was the birth of BusinessAlumniNetwork.com.
